You've definitely heard this viral track. Now it has played in an American series too.

A frame from the series 'Nine Perfect Strangers,' where Nicole Kidman dances to a Belarusian track
Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman starred in the series 'Nine Perfect Strangers' from Hulu. Kidman played the Russian Masha, who manages a very strange resort called 'House of Tranquility.' There she offers guests a unique experience: reliving memories as if they were happening for the first first time.
In the second season, which was released last year, Belarusians can hear familiar music. In the fifth episode, Nicole, along with Mark Strong's character, enters a flashback from 2001. In a Prague bar, the Australian actress tries to speak Russian. And then she dances to the famous track 'Sudno' by the band Molchat Doma.
This is the same depressive track to which many videos were previously filmed on social networks, often against the backdrop of Khrushchyovkas. By the way, the Belarusian track received gold status in the USA. The band Molchat Doma itself tours all over the world.
This is not the first time music from Belarus has appeared in Nicole Kidman's work. In the 2024 film 'Bad Girl,' the Australian dances in a club to a track by the techno duo Police in Paris, consisting of Ulad Kulbitsky (grandson of Uladzimir Mulyavin from 'Pesnyary') and Ulad Kauchuk.
