Tsikhanouskaya on Milinkevich: His dedication to Belarus was inspiring
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya expressed deep condolences to the family, friends, and all Belarusians regarding the death of politician, scientist, and public figure Aliaksandr Milinkevich. She emphasized that his death is a great and irreparable loss for the entire country and the democratic movement.
“It was with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of Aliaksandr Milinkevich. A man of exceptional dignity, a bright soul and a brilliant mind, who became a true beacon for many of us.
Thanks to his wisdom and life experience, Aliaksandr Uladzimiravich was a reliable support for me and a person whose opinion I always listened to with great respect,” Tsikhanouskaya wrote.
She noted that the politician was one of the brightest and most dignified politicians of his time. In 2006, he was able to unite many different parties and movements to use the elections to activate national forces.
“His dedication to Belarus, our language and culture inspired everyone who had the honor of working alongside him.
Aliaksandr Uladzimiravich knew how to unite, listen, and support during the most difficult moments. This is an enormous and bitter loss for all of us,” she wrote.
Tsikhanouskaya expressed her condolences to the family, relatives, friends, and everyone for whom Aliaksandr Uladzimiravich was dear.
