Belarusian Footballer Accepted Award in Turkey to Song by Banned Artist
Belarusian footballer Karina Alkhovik, who plays for Istanbul's Fenerbahçe, became the champion of Turkey with this club. A song with a national flavor was played for her at the award ceremony.

In Belarus, this song would clearly not have been played for the national team footballer, as the performer of the song "Belaya Rus", Anzhelika Agurbash, has long been on the blacklists of the Belarusian authorities, including in its latest known version.
The reason for Agurbash's persecution by the Lukashenka regime is that she supported the 2020 protests, after which she was arrested in absentia on charges of inciting hatred and insulting Lukashenka. The singer also holds Russian citizenship.
In Belarus, a criminal case has been opened against Agurbash, and in 2021, the Prosecutor General's Office unsuccessfully demanded her extradition from Russia. However, even Russia did not dare to extradite a Russian citizen to Lukashenka.
