It became known which Old Believer priest was detained in Postavy district
Last week, a citizen of Lithuania, who called himself a spiritual mentor of the local Old Believer community, was detained in Kukliany right during a church service. He faces deportation.

This is Mikhail Rybakov — a mentor of the Perelaz Old Orthodox Old Believer community in Lithuania, writes "Christian Vision".
Rybakov is a well-known figure in the Old Believer world of the Baltic countries. For decades, he led the Perelaz community in the Jonava district of Lithuania and defended its independence from the Lithuanian Old Believer Church in courts up to the Supreme Administrative Court. The community positions itself as a priestless spiritual hierarchy.
The detention caused outrage among local believers; one of the parishioners sharply responded to the district newspaper's publication about the detention: "Lies are written. Why didn't they write how much the Man did for people, tidied up the prayer house, put it in order, tried to buy the old house so that it could be restored and handed over to the community." She also noted that the executive committee "did not help an inch with words or deeds."
