FIFA plans to increase the duration of the half-time break in the 2026 World Cup final match to 30 minutes. The break between halves always lasts 15 minutes.

The changes are necessary to stage a large-scale 11-minute musical show in the style of the American Super Bowl, The Telegraph reports.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been appointed as the curator of the performance.
Madonna, Shakira, BTS and Justin Bieber will perform on the stage of MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, near New York.
The concert program also includes performances by Nigerian singer Burna Boy, Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus school choir, and characters from children's shows "Sesame Street" and "The Muppet Show".
In addition, the closing ceremony of the tournament will begin an hour and a half before the starting whistle. Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger, and actor Tom Cruise will participate in it.
The World Cup final will start at 10 PM on Sunday Belarusian time. Argentina and Spain will play in it.
In the 3rd place match, France and England will play 22 hours earlier (00:00, Sunday).
