The Ochota district prosecutor's office in Warsaw has opened a case against Marcin N., who is suspected of committing three hooligan offenses between July 10 and 11 at the PKS Warszawa Zachodnia bus station, writes "Belsat".

As a result of these actions, he attacked various people, including former Olympic swimming vice-champion Aliaksandra Herasimenia.

The Prosecutor's Office states that the arrested Marcin N. pleaded guilty and, in his explanations, claimed that the victims "were his friends to whom he lent money, and now they don't recognize him".

«In light of the evidence gathered, the harm to the Belarusian Olympic swimming vice-champion was not committed by the suspect due to the victim's nationality. At the current stage of the investigation, it is being determined whether there were other victims, as well as whether there is a need for a one-time forensic psychiatric examination of the suspect», — reports the Prosecutor's Office.

Currently, Marcin N. has been arrested for a period of three months and faces punishment under Articles 57 and 217 of the Polish Criminal Code, which provide for imprisonment for up to three years.

Let us remind you that the attack on the Olympic medalist was reported by her friend Natallia Radzina. According to Radzina, Herasimenia came to the bus station for some business. Suddenly, an unknown man, about 35 years old, approached her from behind and punched her in the head. He said nothing and immediately left.

«Sasha, from shock and pain, didn't immediately understand what had happened. There was no one to call for help; people were rushing to their flights and didn't even pay attention to what was going on. Sasha, once she regained composure, went to the police,» — Natallia Radzina reported.

Her friend went to the police station with Herasimenia. There, in her presence, a police officer said that finding the perpetrator would be quite difficult: it's not certain if the incident was caught on camera, the quality of the image, if video footage exists, is unknown, and perhaps this person won't be in the police database. And even if he is found, it's unlikely he will be imprisoned: since the injuries are not severe and invisible, it's considered petty hooliganism.
