Since the beginning of 2026, 100 incidents with passengers have been registered in the Minsk Metro, 62 of which resulted in injuries, Minsk-news reports.

According to the agency, there have been seven cases of falling onto the tracks this year: three due to health conditions, four as a result of violating metro rules and personal carelessness.

The largest number of incidents were recorded on escalators, in passages, vestibules, on platforms, during the opening and closing of train doors, and inside the train cars.

Specifically, at "Maladzyozhnaya" metro station, a passenger on an escalator was overtaking people standing ahead, lost balance, fell, and injured his hand.

In two cases, metro employees had to cut power to the contact rail to avoid serious consequences.

For instance, at "Spartyunaya" metro station, a man crossed the safety line and went down onto the tracks, despite the attendant's warning. Additionally, at "Malinauka" metro station, a young man jumped onto the tracks to retrieve fallen headphones and did not react to the female employee's demand to stay put — he later climbed out himself.

Also, at "Praleťarskaya" metro station, a minor jumped onto the tracks and stood by the wall until the train arrived, after which he was escorted out through a train car.

Trespassing into the tunnel or being on the metro tracks carries a fine of two to five basic units (90-225 rubles), and for unauthorized stopping of an escalator – from two to ten basic units (90-450 rubles).
