The book of memoirs "In Vilnius and Lithuanian Manors, Memoirs of 1815—1843" is a translation of the famous memoirs of the writer Gabriela Puzyna, made from the original text: "Gabrjela z Guntherow Puzynina. W Wilnie i w dworach litewskich: pamietnik z lat 1815 — 1843. Wilno, 1928", reports "The Community of Belarusian Writers".
The translation and comments were made by local historian Leanid Laŭreš. Publisher: "Izdatelskie resheniya".

Gabriela Puzyna (1815—1869) was a Polish writer, memoirist, and traveler. She was born in Vilnius into the family of Count Günther. She married Prince Tadevuš Puzyna.
She maintained a literary salon at her husband's estate, Haradžilava, in the Maladziečna region, where she collected an art collection and a library. In the 1850s, guests of Gabriela Puzyna's literary salon included Uladzislaŭ Syrakomlya, Stanislaŭ Maniuška, Edvard Žalihouski, Uladzislaŭ Mickievič (son of the poet Adam Mickievič).
She wrote in Polish from the age of 12, and several of her poetry collections were published in Vilnius, some of which have been translated into Belarusian.
Towards the end of her life, based on a diary she kept from her youth, her own correspondence, and documents, she wrote her memoirs "My Memory", covering up to 1867. The book offers a panorama of life in all strata of society in north-western Belarus and Vilnius.
