CSC to get the right to suspend store operations for overpricing and prohibit business liquidation
A law has been published on the National Legal Portal, introducing changes to the activities of the Committee of State Control (CSC) and significantly expanding its powers.

The document introduces amendments to the laws "On the Committee of State Control of the Republic of Belarus and its Territorial Bodies", "On the Financial Investigation Bodies of the Committee of State Control of the Republic of Belarus", and "On Combating Terrorism".
One of the main innovations is the right granted to the CSC to suspend the activities of economic entities in case of violations of pricing legislation, as well as trade and public catering rules. Such measures can be applied to stores and other trade facilities.
In addition, the Committee of State Control will have the ability to prohibit the state registration and liquidation of legal entities.
Another new power is the right to suspend operations with electronic wallets in banks and non-bank credit and financial organizations.
The law also expands the powers of the CSC's financial investigation bodies. They were officially classified as bodies directly engaged in combating terrorism.
Some of the new norms will come into force six months after the official publication of the law, and certain provisions will take effect from July 1, 2027.
