The specialist had been taking money from the bank for over five years until the scheme was uncovered. Details were reported to Belka by the city prosecutor's office.
The resident of Gomel started working at the bank in 2017. She was supposed to work with visitors, providing a standard set of services. Over the next three years, the defendant in the case thoroughly studied the algorithms for the movement, processing, and storage of money that entered the branch.
In 2020, a scheme for taking money out of the bank and covering tracks was devised.
The employee was only exposed in April of this year. During this time, she managed to steal more than 90 thousand rubles from the bank and spend them on herself. Details are not disclosed so as not to encourage others to follow in her footsteps.
"She has been charged with appropriation of property by a person to whom it was entrusted, on an especially large scale. The investigation is complete, and the case has been sent to court. The accused faces 3 to 12 years of imprisonment," commented Pavel Chyrykau, Deputy Prosecutor of Gomel.
