Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the operational support of 'Almaz' and OMON special forces, detained a man who committed an armed robbery of a jewelry store, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
On Friday, the assailant, wearing a medical mask and threatening with an object resembling a pistol, seized jewelry and fled the crime scene.
Within 24 hours, he was detained in Orsha. This is a 34-year-old resident of Minsk who tried to flee abroad with the stolen jewelry.
He faces up to 15 years.
