Belarus has introduced a mobile veterinary clinic. The mobile medical complex is equipped with everything necessary for diagnosing and treating animals, and on board, a qualified veterinary doctor is on duty, along with a fully functional express laboratory, STB reports.
The vehicle is a sterile diagnostic unit equipped with a portable ultrasound scanner, hematological and biochemical blood analyzers, a microscope, a cardiograph, refrigeration equipment for biological preparations, and a transformable procedural table. All this allows the vet to get accurate test results, perform an ultrasound examination, administer necessary injections, or provide emergency aid within fifteen minutes.
"Most [patients] are still elderly animals, with some chronic kidney pathologies. Dogs more often have something with their intestines. Patients usually come to us around 9 years old. That's the age when they absolutely need to be examined every year (some more often, 2-3 times a year)," says Elizaveta Prykhadouskaya, a general practice veterinarian.
The project aims to solve the problem of pet transportation and make modern diagnostics accessible anywhere – from the capital's residential areas to remote villages and dacha settlements.
"Our services are very relevant in Minsk because people value time. There are traffic jams in Minsk, it's difficult to get around, and you need to allocate time. And in small towns, there's simply no opportunity; there are no veterinary clinics that have ultrasound, tonometers, and other such equipment, so our service is also relevant there," comments Alyona Usava, founder of the mobile veterinary clinic.
