Putin's plans include completing the capture of Donetsk Oblast by the end of this year.

At the moment, there are no signs that Russia is ready to conclude a truce, so there is no need to hope for a ceasefire by the end of the year. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major General Vadym Skibitsky, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
"Analysts of the HUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in their analysis, proceed from the fact that there are no signs on the battlefield that would indicate Russia's readiness to cease fire and begin normal negotiations. Their plans are such, and this is what they say: there will be no agreements or signing of a peace treaty by the end of this year," he said.
Skibitsky noted that Putin's plans include completing the capture of Donetsk Oblast by the end of this year.
Yes, according to military intelligence, the Russians will continue to strike at defense-industrial complex facilities, military targets, energy infrastructure, the logistics system, and gas stations. At the same time, the enemy strikes not only military but also civilian targets.
"In winter, our most vulnerable point is electricity and heating, so they can also come under attack. For example, not long ago, the Russians developed a drone designed to destroy power poles – power lines. It has an explosive element embedded in its wings, capable of cutting metal," Skibitsky noted.
He also confirmed that the water supply system is under threat, as it is one of the critically important elements. In addition, in autumn and winter, the gas transportation system and gas production in Poltava and Kharkiv Oblasts, which the enemy has already attacked before, may again come under attack.
Skibitsky also noted that the aggressor's plans include bridges across the Dnipro, as this is also critical infrastructure.
"Russian troops have recently been striking bridges in frontline regions — Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv. They systematically attack critically important bridges in Zatoka and Maiaky, which are very important elements of our transport system. If an object becomes most critical for us — then the enemy starts working on it," he emphasized.
