"One more millimeter — and the butt will be visible": Belarusians are again outraged by Conte children's tights
Many questions arise: regarding the children's tights themselves, which imitate stockings, their names, and the sexualized poses of girls on the packaging.
Ksenia Vyatskaya, director of the farmer's market "Usio Svayo" (All Our Own) and a mother of many children, expressed outrage over children's tights by the domestic manufacturer Conte.
"Who allows such names for girls' tights?" she wrote on Threads and attached photos of tights that imitate stockings. The models are named "Sweet girl" (some users translated it literally as "sweet girl", but the expression actually means "cute girl") and "Lolita."
By the way, Belarusians have already discussed the latter name — many were outraged by the association with Nabokov's work "Lolita."
Ksenia Vyatskaya's post garnered more than 1.2 million views, 25 thousand likes, and 1.5 thousand comments.
Women had many questions not only about the names but also about the packaging itself. The tights Ksenia photographed are sized for girls aged 3-4.
"Excuse me, are these tights that imitate stockings? For children?"
At the same time, efforts were made to make the young models look as much like adult women as possible. The adult-like makeup is immediately striking: "The name combined with such photos is f***ing awful. Why have little girls stopped looking like little girls? What's going on in the heads of marketers and creatives?"
The models' poses are also criticized. The most popular comment received 17 thousand likes: "Everyone is upset about the name, but here they are trying to portray children as adult girls."
They also write: "Obvious makeup with lip gloss, an adult woman's pose, sexualized names — I've been in modeling for 18 years, seen and experienced a lot, but I never expected anything like this. It seemed this p*do agenda was everywhere already — but no, they continue to normalize it. Use your heads, dear brands. You shouldn't photograph children like this! If you don't know how, ask me, I'll tell you! But please don't do it like this," "Children should remain children, and child models in advertisements for children's products should also look like children, not 'Lolitas'! Female commenters added photos of other Conte children's tights packaging. On them, girls in extremely short dresses or skirts sit in a way that their legs are almost completely bare: "The photo on the Mila tights is cringe of the cringe. Another millimeter — and the butt is visible. Why is this on children's tights?"
It should be noted that in the discussion, there are also those who saw no sedition — saying that these names have existed at Conte for years, and the style of their packaging has always been roughly the same.
The manufacturer itself, whose account was tagged multiple times with demands to comment on the situation, has not yet responded.
