In St. Petersburg yesterday, a serviceman from a helicopter regiment, which Ukraine accused of war crimes, was blown up

The serviceman killed yesterday in a car explosion was presumably Sergey Sechkov.

Details of Sechkov's biography known from leaks match the data published by Russian media the day before. Sechkov's father confirmed to "Agency" that his son died in the explosion.

According to the Ukrainian project "Myrotvorets," he served in the 332nd Separate Guards Helicopter Red Banner Regiment. The servicemen of this regiment were called war criminals by the GUR of Ukraine.

Sechkov was 43 years old, originally from Ryazan. The deceased's wife, Anna, who herself was injured in the explosion, works at an order pickup point near where the explosion occurred.

Sechkov, according to leaks, lives in house 24 building 1 on Kolpinskoye Highway. This house is approximately 100 meters from the explosion site.

"They blew him up," Sechkov's father wrote in response to "Agency's" question.

"Agency" was unable to reach Sechkov himself, his wife, or other relatives by phone on Friday morning. The deceased had reported to his superiors that he was "on the elimination lists."

He served in the Air Force Air Defense forces with the rank of lieutenant colonel. Sechkov's page is on the Myrotvorets project website, where it states that he serves in the 332nd Separate Guards Helicopter Regiment (part of the 6th Air Force and Air Defense Army) with the rank of major.

In May 2022, the GUR of Ukraine accused the military unit where, according to Myrotvorets, Sechkov served, of launching missile and bomb strikes on the civilian population of Ukraine in the Slobozhansky direction.
