Ukraine has created a means to destroy cheap Russian "Banderol" missiles. The technology is already being used in practice, representatives of the state defense cluster Brave1 reported .

The development was carried out by one of the teams that are part of the Brave1 defense cluster. Details of the system's operation and its technical characteristics are not yet disclosed. It is only known that the cost of destroying such a target is significantly lower than the cost of the missile-drone itself.
The video presented by Brave1 shows the destruction of at least four "Banderol" missiles. The cluster also noted that there are now several different developments designed to combat relatively cheap Russian missiles.
The Russian S8000 "Banderol" missile is produced by the Kronstadt company, also known for manufacturing Orion drones. The maximum speed of the "Banderol" is about 620-650 km/h, and its cruising speed is 520-560 km/h.
The missile has a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 114.3 kilograms. Approximately 49.5 kilograms of this mass accounts for explosives.
Earlier, Ukrainian military intelligence reported that Russia is capable of producing up to 80 such missiles per month. The GUR also published technical data on the S8000 "Banderol".
