Employees of the drug control of Minsk region, with the support of SAHR (Special Rapid Response Unit) fighters of the Internal Ministry's internal troops, detained a 47-year-old resident of Salihorsk using firearms, reports the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The man, who was previously convicted of robbery and illegal drug trafficking, is suspected of distributing large consignments of prohibited substances in the Minsk region.
During the arrest, it is alleged that the man offered active resistance and moved towards the police officers with an object resembling a knife.
To stop the threat, a SAHR serviceman used firearms and fired a targeted shot at the suspect's legs.
He was given the necessary medical assistance on the spot, after which the man was hospitalized.
