The new academic year began on September 1st in Belarusian schools. At the same time, the Ministry of Education approved the schedule of quarters, according to which students can expect autumn, winter, spring, and summer holidays.
Autumn holidays will last 8 days — from November 1st to November 8th, 2026.
Winter holidays will be the longest during the academic year — 17 days. The break is scheduled from December 25th, 2026 to January 10th, 2027.
Spring holidays will last 8 days — from March 21st to March 28th, 2027 inclusive.
Regular summer holidays will be 92 days — from June 1st to August 31st, 2027. For students who have completed the second stage of general secondary education, the break will be shorter — 81 days, from June 12th to August 31st.
For students of 8th grades of cadet schools, Suvorov military schools, specialized lyceums, as well as for tenth-graders, a summer break of 87 days is provided — from June 6th to August 31st, 2027.
Additionally, in the third quarter, there will be extra holidays for 1st and 2nd graders, as well as some 3rd graders. They will take place from February 15th to February 21st, 2027, and will last 7 days.
In the new academic year, several new elective courses are also planned to be introduced. For students of 3rd and 4th grades, a course "Learning to Understand Ourselves and Others" will be offered, and for 5th-7th graders — "Learning to Help Ourselves and Others".
