The children are four boys born in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023, and a girl born in 2023.
After the first court hearing, the children were returned to their parents, but later the family was again recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation. Then it was recognized that the children needed state protection, and they were placed in a shelter.
The parents abused alcohol; there was systematically no food or cooked meals at home. After the children were taken away, the spouses did not eliminate the underlying issues.
In court, the mother and father opposed the deprivation of parental rights. They stated that they loved their children, wanted to bring them home, and were trying to cope with alcohol addiction.
Nevertheless, the court satisfied the claim of the education department and deprived the spouses of parental rights concerning all five children.
The parents appealed the decision, but it was upheld without changes. It has now come into legal force.
