Vladimir Usser, an elderly activist who became embroiled in the BT film and espionage in Poland, died suddenly.
A Bobruisk activist has died in a shelter in Białystok, where he was released from the hospital to await trial.

As Nasha Niva has learned, Vladimir Usser has died. He had recently been living in a Caritas shelter in Bialystok. The former Babruysk activist suffered cardiac arrest. Usser was 69 years old.
Vladimir had recently been under investigation in Poland on suspicion of espionage. According to Polish prosecution data, three Belarusians and two Ukrainians had been cooperating with foreign intelligence from March 2024 to February 2025, carrying out various tasks received from Telegram messages.
Their tasks included photographing critical infrastructure facilities and places important for state security. They were also supposed to hang posters and draw graffiti.
Usser was also arrested in this case. But security forces left him in the hospital due to his poor health. He was awaiting trial as a free man.
Earlier, Usser got embroiled in a BT propaganda film. He shot several stories in Bialystok, which were later used in the agitprop film «Alien Sky.»
