Overnight, the website of the online library 'Kamunikat' was attacked. Hackers deleted several thousand publications
“All night we fought a hacker attack on the Kamunikat.org website,” wrote Yaroslav Ivanyuk, founder of the largest Belarusian online library, on Facebook.

“The attacker managed to gain administrator-level access to the service and systematically deleted publications and news. Around 2:30 AM, his destructive actions were successfully blocked. Unfortunately, he managed to delete several thousand publications and news items.
However, the damage was almost completely rectified: publications were restored, and news items were brought back to early October. Work is currently underway to restore the service's state to yesterday evening. We hope that everything will be fully restored,” Yaroslav wrote.
He added that it is not yet known who was behind this attack.

Yaroslav Ivanyuk from Białystok founded the online library "Kamunikat" 25 years ago. It is the largest Belarusian online library. It contains tens of thousands of Belarusian books, newspapers, magazines, publications, and news.
After 2020, Yaroslav Ivanyuk founded the "Kamunikat" publishing house, which prints paper books, and he constantly travels with books to Belarusian book exhibitions and festivals.
