Will there be snow and frost? What weather to expect on New Year's Eve
Forecaster Dmitry Ryabov shared information about the weather during the New Year's week, from December 29 to January 4.

We can expect stable frosts and snow, the forecaster states.
At the beginning of the week, on December 29 and 30, atmospheric fronts will pass across the country, bringing precipitation in the form of snow. Nighttime air temperatures will range from -2°C to -7°C (up to -10°C in the east).
During the day on Monday, temperatures are expected to be from -4°C to +2°C, and on Tuesday, the thermometer column could even rise to +6°C, causing fog and icy conditions on the roads.
Specifically on December 31 and the first day of the New Year, the weather will become harsher.
During the day on Wednesday, temperatures are expected to be from -3°C to -8°C, with light snow. On New Year's Eve, the temperature will drop to -4°C... -10°C, and in eastern Belarus, the frost could reach -14°C.
In the second half of the week and on the weekend, the cold snap will intensify under the influence of a cyclone. On Thursday and Friday, daytime temperatures will stay within -8°C... -11°C, and the frost will be accompanied by strong gusty winds.
The New Year's week will conclude on January 3 and 4 with even lower temperatures: during nighttime hours, the air could be -14°C, and during the day on Saturday and Sunday, temperatures will range from -5°C to -12°C.
Forecasters warn: despite the beautiful snow, drivers and pedestrians should be very careful due to icy conditions on the roads.
