Man killed in car-truck collision in Slutsk district

The tragedy occurred on December 31, around 12:15 PM, on the R-43 "Krychaŭ — Babruysk — Ivacevichy" highway, at the turn to the village of Nyavyaztsy, Slutsk district.

A 31-year-old driver of a Honda Accord, who did not have a driver's license, was moving towards Slutsk. He failed to maintain a safe distance and, as a result, collided with a MAZ tractor-trailer with a Kögel semi-trailer, which had stopped at the intersection. The truck was driven by a 53-year-old driver who was about to turn left.

As a result of the accident, the 58-year-old passenger of the Honda died on the spot, and the driver was taken to the hospital.

An investigation is underway into the incident.
