In 2025, the number of road accidents decreased in Belarus

According to preliminary data from the State Automobile Inspectorate, the total number of road accidents in 2025 decreased by 6% compared to 2024, and the number of accidents with casualties decreased by 9%, reports STB TV channel.

In 2025, 17 fewer people died in road accidents than in the previous year. In 2024, there were 434 fatalities, and in 2025, there were 417.

However, the number of motorcyclist fatalities in accidents increased.

In 2025, the number of registered motorcycles and cars in Belarus increased. The number of motorcycles increased by 15 thousand compared to 2024, and cars by 128 thousand.
