On Orthodox Christmas, Lukashenka, together with Kolya, visited a church in the village of Okolitsa, Minsk district. He presented an icon to the church, lit a candle, and then addressed the parishioners and officials.
Lukashenka complained to those present that he did not rest during the long weekends.
"Someone, perhaps, did not rest. You know that neither I, nor the military, can have any rest at this time, when our people are resting, when they are relaxed, thinking more about themselves and their families.
People in uniform, and I as the commander-in-chief, are not to rest at this time. But it's nothing terrible, we will endure all this," Lukashenka expressed confidence.
He ordered Belarusians to return to work starting tomorrow, writes BelTA.
"Millions and millions of Belarusians need to get to work. The tasks are clear. The goals are defined. If we want to live well, we need to fulfill what we recently outlined. So — get to work," Lukashenka instructed.
He explained that without work, it would be impossible to feed oneself and one's children in Belarus.
