Belarusian made a ski track on Victory Square in the very center of Minsk
Andrei posted a video on social networks showing him skiing around Victory Square.

— I'm here in the center of Minsk, standing on asphalt, wearing skis. And it's cool! This is the best day of my life. This city is mine today!
One of the videos gained over 100 thousand views and hundreds of enthusiastic comments overnight:
- «Bro, they forgot what winter is. Enjoy it, dude!»
- «I'm green with envy, but I've already cleaned the yard. Great.»
- «Well, at least someone's happy.»
- «Food delivery will make you rich today. Don't miss the chance.»
- «If this continues, skis in Belarus will become more expensive.»
- «Can you go out on a snowboard yet?»
- «I don't have skis, and today they're the best transport, give me a lift to work.»
One user clarified: «How many years has it been since you skied on real snow in Minsk?» To which Andrei honestly replied: «As long as I can remember.»
Onliner.by contacted the hero of the day to ask a few clarifying questions. Andrei admitted that he had dreamed of such skiing his whole life. He had been involved in biathlon since he was 13. Later, serious studies at the medical university began, and skiing became more of a hobby and a way to "clear his head."
And here's how he described his impressions of yesterday's experiment:
— It's like running a half-marathon in Minsk, completely different sensations... It's a shame I didn't turn on the tracker; I only remembered it on the way back. I think I covered no more than 5 kilometers: from the end of Zakharava Street to Victory Square, a loop around the park, and home. I tried to ski on the sidewalk. In some places, it was really cool, like in Vesnyanka. But the utility workers, unfortunately, quickly cleared the snow down to the asphalt in some areas.
And, it seems, Andrei was the only person in Minsk who was upset by this fact.
— Today I'm going to scout out the bike path. I hope it hasn't been cleared; it would be cool to go across the whole city, that's about 50 kilometers.
