New Airline to Start Flying to Minsk

A new Russian airline, NordStar, which previously did not operate regular flights to Belarus, is starting to fly to Minsk. The company is based in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk, writes Blizko.by.

So far, only one flight has been announced: on Sunday, January 25, from Minsk to Moscow (Domodedovo Airport), and on Monday there will be a return flight Moscow — Minsk.

The price of a one-way ticket in the "Economy Light" class from Minsk to Moscow is 2,840 Russian rubles (approximately 106 Belarusian rubles or 31 euros). A ticket from Moscow to Minsk is even cheaper — 2,390 Russian rubles (89 Belarusian rubles or 26 euros). This price includes 1 piece of hand luggage (up to 10 kg) and 1 checked baggage item (23 kg).

For comparison, with Belavia on the same date, a ticket to Moscow costs a minimum of 157 rubles (Sheremetyevo) or 191 rubles (Domodedovo), and for the high-speed Lastochka train — 135 rubles.

NordStar's fleet consists of 8 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and 1 Boeing 737-300. The company mainly operates flights within Russia. It also has flights to Egyptian Sharm El Sheikh, and previously flew to Azerbaijan, Armenia, China, and Turkey.
