Minsk Housing and Utilities deny rumors of garbage collapse in Minsk
The press service of the Minsk Housing and Communal Services stated that information appearing in some sources about an allegedly critical situation with garbage collection in Minsk does not correspond to reality.

According to them, short-term and isolated disruptions in waste collection were indeed recorded in certain areas of the city. These, they say, were caused by objective reasons — unfavorable weather conditions and dense parking of private cars, which made it difficult for specialized vehicles to pass.
At the moment, however, the situation is allegedly fully controlled by the capital's utility services. All problem areas have been promptly addressed, container sites have been cleaned, and garbage collection is carried out as usual.
Information about "mass spontaneous landfills" or a "garbage collapse," as claimed by Minsk Housing and Utilities, is not confirmed. Utility services continue to monitor the situation constantly and, if necessary, adjust waste collection schedules in accordance with approved waste generation standards.
