As "Brokar Bel" company, responsible for the taxi service in Belarus, told Office Life, about 200 cars are already connected in Grodno. There is currently a small difficulty in integrating with software cash registers, but they expect to fine-tune the process within three to four weeks. This will allow more drivers to work with cash. For now, this option is only available to those who drive with a taximeter.
The next city for Bro Car launch in our country will be Shchuchyn.
This city is located only 70 kilometers from Grodno, and they showed a great desire to connect. The company says they gladly responded and expect to provide services to passengers in Shchuchyn from the first week of March.
As Yekaterina Stankevich, chairperson of the Association of Professional Passenger Carriers, clarified, Vitebsk is next among the regional cities in Bro Car's plans, where carriers are also very active.
According to her, in this city, there is excellent feedback with carriers and "there is an understanding of the processes that need to be set up to ensure safe transportation, as well as to protect the interests of both carriers and drivers." They expect to launch the service there at the end of March or beginning of April.
The company has not yet disclosed plans for other cities, but confirms that they plan to expand.
However, Minsk is not on the list. Bro Car representatives say they held meetings with carriers — those in the capital showed the least interest. At the same time, there is demand from cities in the Minsk region.
They are also considering the possibility of pre-ordering to the airport; for this, they will try to form a tariff and see the feedback from carriers.
The owner of Bro Car is the company "Ewery Car" from Kazakhstan. The service also operates in Azerbaijan. The main difference of the new taxi service: it does not use dynamic pricing. Prices are fixed. During peak hours, they may increase, but will still remain fixed.
