Vilnius Airport Closed Again Due to Balloons from Belarus

Vilnius Airport temporarily suspended operations due to a possible hybrid attack from Belarus. Restrictions were in effect from 20:30 to 21:30 Lithuanian time (21:30 to 22:30 Belarusian time).

As reported by the airport's press service, the decision was made after navigational marks characteristic of balloons were detected on radars. This was the reason for the temporary suspension of flights.

Prior to this, similar problems arose on January 27.

In recent days, weather balloons from the territory of Belarus also flew into Poland.
