A 52-year-old resident of the Pinsk district reported to the police about the disappearance of a wallet containing money and bank cards. The total amount of damage caused to him was about 2000 rubles in equivalent.

The man explained that on his way to the store, he suddenly felt unwell, after which he was taken to the hospital and underwent an emergency operation. Upon regaining consciousness, he discovered that his wallet with money was missing and reported it to the police.
Criminal investigation officers soon discovered that the theft was committed by a 48-year-old Pinsk resident who worked at that hospital. According to the woman, her contract was not extended, and she was working her last day, so she expected to go unpunished.
The woman appropriated the cash she found in the wallet, after which she burned the wallet in the oven. In a small pocket, there were an additional 500 US dollars, which she did not notice — they burned along with the wallet. She used the stolen funds for personal needs.
Now, a criminal case has been initiated against the Pinsk resident under Part 1 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (theft). Part of the money has been returned to the rightful owner.
