The Ministry of Education has decided on the format of school quarters and holidays for the next year.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, the following terms have been defined for quarters:
- First — from September 1 to October 31;
- Second — from November 9 to December 24;
- Third — from January 11 to March 20, 2027;
- Fourth — from March 29 to May 31, 2027.
For students in ninth (tenth) — eleventh (twelfth) grades, the dates for the fourth quarter are different — from March 29 to May 25, 2027.
And here are the holiday dates:
- Autumn — from November 1 to November 8, 2026 inclusive, the break will be 8 days;
- Winter — from December 25 to January 10, 2027 inclusive, there will be 17 days of holidays;
- Spring — from March 21 to March 28, 2027 inclusive, again 8 days of holidays;
- Summer — from June 1 to August 31, 2027, most schoolchildren will be able to rest for 92 days.
For ninth-grade graduates, the summer holidays will be shorter — 81 days, from June 12 to August 31, 2027 inclusive.
Students of eighth grades of cadet schools, Suvorov military schools, specialized lyceums, tenth-grade students (excluding specialized sports classes, evening classes, sanatorium schools) will be able to rest for 87 days in summer — from June 6 to August 31, 2027 inclusive.
For students of the first and second grades (in third grades — for students with special psychophysical development needs with a five-year education term at the first level of general secondary education), there will be additional winter holidays in the third quarter from February 15 to February 21, 2027 inclusive. Children will rest for 7 days.
