Journalist Tina Palynskaya and her daughter sentenced to 2 years in prison
Tina Palynskaya and her eldest daughter Margarita Rabinovich were detained in May 2025 and taken into custody as part of a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code (creation of an extremist formation or participation in it). The verdict is now known: each was sentenced to two years in a penal colony and a fine, reports "Christian Vision".

Their case may be related to the KGB's decision to declare Professor Andrei Vardomatski's "Belarusian Analytical Workshop" an "extremist formation." This organization conducted sociological surveys among Belarusian citizens.

Margarita Rabinovich
The prosecutor demanded 2.5 years of imprisonment for both women, but the judge reduced this term by six months.
