Minsk bids farewell to poet Uladzimir Karyzna, author of the words to the current national anthem of Belarus

The farewell ceremony for the national poet, one of the authors of the words to the current national anthem of Belarus, Uladzimir Karyzna, took place at the House of Writers in Minsk.
Among those who attended the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Natalya Petkevich, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus Ales Karlyukevich, and deputy and director of the National Library Vadim Gigin.



A wreath was also sent by Alexander Lukashenka. Condolences from him were read out by Minister of Information Marat Markov.


Other representatives of state bodies, the Union of Writers, and close relatives of the poet were also present at the farewell.
