Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the task of achieving peace is above emotions and his personal attitude towards Vladimir Putin. He said this in an interview with Politico.
"No, no one, no one is saying that anyone will be friends with each other. No friendship. He (President Vladimir Putin) tried to occupy us. We responded, and he lost many servicemen. Therefore, such an attitude is understandable, but we need peace. Peace is not an emotional thing. Hatred is emotions. It's not about personal attitude. It's not about individuals," Zelenskyy said.
He also added that a peace treaty is not connected in any way with personal relations with heads of state, as it is a specific document that "will give people the opportunity to live".
