Babaryka revealed how Vaskrasenski offered him 10 million — and freedom
In a new episode of TOK, former banker and presidential candidate Viktar Babaryka spoke about his meetings in prison with Yury Vaskrasenski and Raman Pratasevich.

To the question of whether he was indeed offered to repent, acknowledge Lukashenka's victory, and leave the country during his imprisonment, Viktar Babaryka replied:
«Only two people had strange conversations with me on this topic. These were the unforgettable Vaskrasenski and the even less forgettable Pratasevich.»
The meeting with the first, according to Babaryka's recollections, took place in 2021.
«He came with a very strange message about nothing. He said: maybe someone will pay ten million for you — and you'll be released.»
I was very surprised and said: «Why ten? And who should pay this?»
As the former banker notes, the offer seemed quite incomprehensible to him.
As for the meeting with Raman Pratasevich, the politician recounted that he
«first came and hopelessly said: «Well, I, of course, must say that there might be a window of opportunity. But I don't strongly believe in the necessity of it.»
Babaryka recalls nodding to this, remarking: «You are probably right.»
«So, essentially, two such strange conversations. One in 2021, the second in 2024. The first had no consequences, the second had both positive and negative consequences,» he summarized.
