It is reported that a 36-year-old man was performing construction work: he was standing on scaffolding and plastering a panel for a frame house. This panel was simply leaned against a joiner's table and was not properly secured. At some point, the structure, weighing more than two tons, fell and crushed the worker. He died on the spot from his injuries.
The investigation revealed serious violations at the enterprise. The 48-year-old director and her 49-year-old deputy improperly performed their duties and failed to ensure safe working conditions. Specifically:
- there was no proper preparation of the production process;
- the securing of heavy structures was not controlled;
- the joiner's table was not used for its intended purpose;
- the worker was not provided with personal protective equipment.
Furthermore, the deceased had not undergone the necessary training, internship, and safety instructions, and did not have the appropriate qualifications, but was still allowed to perform the work.
All of this combined led to the tragic incident.
