Universities to admit 49 thousand students this year

Today, universities will hold open days.

Higher education institutions in Belarus will admit about 49.1 thousand applicants this year. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the Ministry of Education.

At the same time, about 33.1 thousand first-year students are planned to be admitted on a budget basis.

Among them, 3.9 thousand people (11.8%) are future teachers, 3.7 thousand (11.2%) are medics, 3.1 thousand (9.4%) are agriculturists, and almost every fourth, which is about 7.7 thousand (23.3%), are engineers.

Today, a single open day will be held in universities and colleges across the country.
