"With this gesture, the city council expressed support for the democratic Belarusian opposition and its struggle for freedom, as well as solidarity with political prisoners of the Lukashenka regime," reads the statement from the administration of Prague-3 district.
One of the leaders of the Belarusian diaspora in Prague, Kristina Shiyanok, commented on this news:
"Prague-3 is my district. The presidents and consul of the BNR (Belarusian People's Republic) are buried here. Today, our flag is on the building of the local administration!"
It is also known that the white-red-white flag appeared on the building of the local administration in the "Prague-7" district, where the Embassy of Belarus is located.
