European countries restrict the use of their airspace for planes fighting in Iran
It became known that France has restricted the use of its airspace for planes involved in military operations against Iran. According to sources at Reuters, French authorities did not allow the use of their territory for transporting American military equipment towards Israel. This was France's first such decision since the start of the conflict.

It was previously reported that Spain also banned American planes involved in operations against Iran from using its airspace and military bases. Similar restrictions were imposed by Italy regarding a base in Sicily.
US authorities expressed dissatisfaction with such actions by NATO allies. The US believes this complicates cooperation within the alliance. American representatives noted that if such a policy continues, the issue of reviewing relations within NATO might arise.
US President Donald Trump wrote an angry post on his social media network Truth Social in this regard:
“France did not allow planes heading to Israel, filled with military supplies, to fly over French territory. France was very unhelpful regarding the “Butcher of Iran” who was successfully eliminated! The USA will remember this!!!”
The position of European states is explained, in part, by the fact that the American command demonstratively does not coordinate the flights of its military aircraft with them in advance. For instance, the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera writes that the plan for one of the US Air Force flights was drawn up without permission or consultation with Italian authorities and was only sent after the aircraft had already departed from the USA.
During inspections carried out by the Italian military, it was established that these flights were not scheduled and were not related to logistical tasks, thus falling outside the scope of existing bilateral agreements. Therefore, they required approval and parliamentary oversight, the newspaper notes.
