The baby appeared in a pair of two-humped camels that have been living in the Vitebsk Zoo for about nine years, writes BelTA.

The baby is already about two weeks old. It's a boy with gray fur and still a bit clumsy appearance, but he already stands confidently on his feet and behaves actively — playing and even trying to "communicate" with birds. He doesn't leave his mother's side, and she watches him carefully.

Now the camel calf will feed on mother's milk for about half a year. The mother, female camel Asya, receives enhanced nutrition — eating hay, grain, and vegetables. She is quite a large and calm animal.

The father, male camel Timofey, also keeps everything under control — protecting his family and not allowing strangers near. Although in nature, males can be dangerous to young ones, there is no danger now, but zoo staff still monitor the situation.

For now, the baby has not yet been named, and they are deciding whether he will stay at the zoo. Everything will depend on how he gets along with the adult male.
The birth of a camel calf is a rare event for zoos, so it became a real joy for the staff.
You can look at the baby, but only from a distance. Visitors are not allowed to approach, pet, or feed the animals, as this could harm them.
