The painting is part of the collection of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, but for several months it will be exhibited in our National Art Museum, Office Life writes.
'The Walk' is one of Marc Chagall's seminal works. The painting was created in 1917. It is part of a triptych along with works such as 'Double Portrait' and 'Over the Town'.
This is a cycle of works depicting the artist's self-portrait with his young wife Bella. All paintings are connected to Chagall's hometown — Vitebsk.
'Over the Town' is located in the Tretyakov Gallery, and 'Double Portrait' — in the Centre Pompidou museum in Paris.
