President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the Syrian capital Damascus on April 5 and met with the country's president, Ahmed al-Sharaa.
“We discussed the situation in the region and prospects for its improvement. We also discussed the circumstances of Russia's war against Ukraine, grateful for the support. There is great interest in exchanging military and security experience,” — Zelensky said about the visit.
