Sevyarynets: It's worth understanding one simple thing — there's a time for fighters and there's a time for masters
The division of the Belarusian movement into conditional "fighters" and "masters" is one of the most detrimental for Belarus, writes former political prisoner Pavel Sevyarynets on Facebook.

"Fighters," inclined towards street or armed struggle, have a loud voice, deliver sharp speeches, pride themselves on following an idea to the end, and often treat those who choose other paths with disdain.
"Masters" are more involved in diplomacy, business, administration, creativity, doing their work without fuss, like to emphasize their professionalism, endurance, and caution, and no less often (though less loudly) reproach "fighters" for their futility and irresponsibility.
— You only shout, provoke, and cause harm, — say the "masters" to the "fighters".
— And you are traitors and grant-suckers! — the "fighters" chorus in response.
Today's division into "heroic losers" and "respectable traitors" is fully exploited by all enemies of Belarus.
Over the past couple of days, I've encountered such assessments three times even among Belarusian-speaking believers — regarding prominent figures and the leadership of Christian communities.
My dear Belarusians (men and women)! It is worth understanding one simple thing: there is a time for fighters and there is a time for masters. There are times and circumstances that demand responsible and diligent work for Belarus — with full dedication, sometimes without much PR and public gratitude. And there are times and circumstances that simply cry out: everyone — to the struggle!
In the early 2000s or during the period of so-called "normalization," it was a time for masters — and even from fighters, appropriate qualities and results were required. But in 2020, most were fighters — and now they recall that time with nostalgia.
Mass prison experience, the war in Ukraine with thousands of volunteers, and forced emigration have broadened and deepened this division within the most active and creative part of the nation, across all its layers. Quarrels on the imaginary and largely artificial boundary between "fighters" and "masters" consume energy and time, which Belarusians so desperately need to forge themselves into a united nation.
Both fighters and masters are equally critically needed for today's Belarusian movement. Without street leaders and fighters, we will be unable to seize the window of opportunity and will lose to the regime or Russia. Without professional diplomats, strategists, experienced managers, we will squander the nation's surge towards victory.
Learning mutual respect, cooperation, and support in accordance with the motto "a Belarusian to a Belarusian is a Belarusian" is the primary need of the current time for both masters and fighters.
No bald devil will succeed in breaking a people who feel united, whole, coordinated, and healthy as an organism.
God will grant us victory — if we ourselves are ready to take responsibility for Belarus.
