Security forces came to the Minsk office of architectural studio ZROBIM architects
On the morning of April 9, security forces came to the Minsk office of the well-known architectural company ZROBIM architects. According to information from the "Zerkalo" (Mirror) publication, citing two independent sources, all employees who were on site – about 50 people – were detained. The reason for the security forces' interest in the company is currently unknown.
As sources told "Zerkalo", security forces came to the ZROBIM architects office, located in Minsk, today, April 9, at about 11 AM.
According to available information, all employees who were at their workplaces at that moment were detained. This concerns approximately 50 people. Among those detained is allegedly co-founder Andrei Makouski.
Also, according to "Zerkalo" sources, the company's work server is currently unavailable, through which employees, among other things, work remotely.
The reasons for the security forces' interest in one of Belarus's most famous and successful architectural studios are currently unknown.
ZROBIM architects is a Belarusian architectural studio founded in 2011 by Andrei Makouski (Andrus Bezdar) and Aliaksei Karablyou. The company is known for its projects in modern architecture and design, operating both in Belarus and abroad.
The studio actively maintains its social media and blog, where it shares new projects and news. The company regularly receives prestigious international awards. For instance, last year, their school project in the capital's Novaya Baravaya microdistrict won the IIDA Global Excellence Award 2025 in the "Education" category.
