The level of anomalies when accessing Telegram reached 95% on Friday morning, according to data from the international research project OONI.

This is the maximum share of anomalies since the beginning of the new intensification of restrictions on the messenger's operation in Russia on March 20. These figures may mean that the messenger is now blocked more strongly than WhatsApp and Signal, writes "Agenstvo".
The intensification of Telegram's blocking, as usual, occurred on Friday (it was at the end of the week that previous waves of blocking took place). As late as Thursday, the share of anomalies was 79% — the usual level for recent days.
For officially blocked Signal and effectively blocked WhatsApp, the share of anomalies was 89% on Friday morning.

The number of user complaints about Telegram's performance in Russia sharply increased overnight from Thursday to Friday, according to Downdetector data. Over the past 24 hours, users have left 2.6 thousand complaints about the messenger's operation, most of them from the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Rostov Oblast.
Problems are likely also arising for those using VPN services: the Netherlands was among the leaders in the number of complaints.
The "Sboy.rf" service recorded 469 complaints about Telegram's operation on Friday morning — this is 26% of the total number of complaints for all of Thursday (1771). Most complaints were left by users from Moscow (36%), St. Petersburg (14%), Krasnodar Krai (6%), Sverdlovsk (5%) and Moscow (4%) oblasts.
