"You Can Call Me 'My Captain'." Yuri Stylski, Leader of "Dai Darogu!" Band, Trained as a Yachtsmen
Musician Yuri Stylski, leader of the band "Dai Darogu!", received a certificate from the International Sailing Association. The artist truly does not rule out the possibility that in the future he will be able to go to sea as a captain with tourist groups.
"From now on, you can call me 'my captain!'" he commented on his new profession.

The ISSA Inshore Skipper license is international and allows operating a sailing yacht up to 24 meters long, with a mass of up to 20 tons, day and night, with a maximum distance from the shore of 20 nautical miles (37 km), and with a crew of up to 12 people. Furthermore, it has no expiration date.
Yuri Stylski told "Nasha Niva" that for him, it all started with regular tourist trips to sea with the Belarusian yacht club Damora.
"I've had about four trips (and sometimes I could even substitute for the captain). And at some point, I realized that I could become a captain myself. I spoke with DaMora, the training course lasted about 10 days, and then I just had to wait for a response from the International Sailing Association."
Yuri admits that parking the yacht was the most difficult part for him.
"Especially when the wind picks up and there are big waves, and catamarans worth a million euros are all around."
The guarantee that a beginner has truly mastered the course "excellently" is the name and surname of the instructor indicated on the certificate – he, as it were, vouches for his student.
Regarding prices, the musician advises inquiring about them personally with the yachtsmen of "Damora" (skipper training in the Baltic currently costs almost $1450).
"A lot depends on where you will study. I, for example, took the course in Tenerife."
For now, Yuri will be gaining practical experience as a captain. In the future, the artist dreams of assembling his own team and offering his services as a guide on the open water.
"Simply rent a yacht and go somewhere with a group of enthusiasts to Norway, through the fjords (where, by the way, I've already been, but not as a captain). We traveled like that with the club around the Canary Islands, explored everything. If I'm not mistaken, it totals 1500 euros for a 10-day trip."
