The system works using infrared sensors and cameras trained to recognize animal silhouettes. When an animal appears near the road, the system detects it and transmits a signal to road signs. As a result, drivers receive a warning approximately 250 meters before the dangerous section.
The technology has already been tested in the Rechytsa district on the M-10 highway, where large animals are frequently encountered. During the tests, the system recorded dozens of such cases, but no accidents occurred in this section.
Currently, developers are continuing to improve the system so that it works better in various weather conditions — during rain, snow, and fog.
In the near future, such a system is planned to be installed on another highway in the Valozhyn district, and in the future — expanded to other roads of the country.
