The scheme worked for two years until he was detained, writes Reform.news with reference to Słowo Podlasia.
When Belarusian Ruslan B. was banned from entering Poland and Schengen, he took his mother's surname, received a new passport, and continued to travel.
From February 2024 to January 2026, he made about a dozen trips through the Terespol border crossing and Warsaw airport.
Ultimately, the Belarusian was detained. His trial took place in the District Court of Biała Podlaska. The 41-year-old man was found guilty of repeatedly illegally crossing the state border using deception. The court regarded all trips as one continuous crime.
The Belarusian was sentenced to six months of imprisonment with a two-year suspension. In case of repeated violation, he will face more serious consequences.
