The Oldest Participant of World War II in Belarus is 106 Years Old
In Belarus, the oldest participant of the "Great Patriotic War" is a woman from Minsk, who recently turned 106 years old. The average age of veterans and participants of that war in the country is now about 99 years, and the youngest of them is 92, reports the "Minsk-Novosti" agency.

According to data from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, over 6,000 people live in Belarus who receive support as individuals somehow connected with the war.
It should be noted that, according to Belarusian laws, individuals who participated "in the elimination of nationalist underground groups in the territory of Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic countries until the end of 1951" are equated to war veterans. However, even with them included, actual veterans and participants do not exceed 10%.
The state continues to provide various types of assistance to these people. A one-time financial aid is paid annually for Victory Day — in 2026, its amount ranges from 1,500 to 5,000 Belarusian rubles. Payments are made in early May, and a significant portion of veterans have already received these funds.
In addition, special pension surcharges are in effect. For war participants and invalids, they amount to approximately 510 to 765 Belarusian rubles, and for other affected categories, from 320 to 510 Belarusian rubles.
A support program is also being implemented in Belarus, which provides assistance with daily life, housing repairs, creation of safe living conditions, and other measures. In addition to financial support, veterans benefit from healthcare, sanatorium treatment, and social services.

Я ў Варшаве пазнаёміўся з палякам, які носіць значок Арміі Краёвай і лічыцца ветэранам, удзельнікам Варшаўскага паўстання. Хоць ён 1936 года нараджэння, то-бок было яму тады 8 гадоў. Але ветэран, быў пасыльным. Так і тут
